Insurance & Nutrition Counseling Coverage

We want every patient to feel informed and prepared when starting care at Victory in Health. To avoid any surprise bills, please call your insurance company before your first visit to confirm your nutrition counseling coverage.
When speaking with your insurance company, you may be asked for practice details:

Business Name: Integro Health & Wellness LLC,
Provider Name: Registered Dietitian Viktorija Cepule

EIN (Tax ID): 39-2587419
NPI 1 (Individual): 1609612860
NPI 2 (Organization): 1891680591

What to Ask Your
Insurance Company

If they ask for a CPT code, provide: 97802 and 97803.
If not covered, ask them to check: 99401, 99402, 99403, 99404, or S9470 (if applicable).

If they ask for a diagnosis code (ICD-10), start with: Z71.3.
If that isn’t covered, try: Z72.4.

If you have a condition such as overweight/obesity, prediabetes, diabetes, hypertension, or high cholesterol, ask if your plan covers visits under those diagnoses as well.

Note: We always use preventive coding (when possible) to maximize the number of visits your plan will cover. If your visit is only for a medical diagnosis (e.g., IBS without other risk factors), your plan may apply a cost-share (deductible, co-pay, or co-insurance).

Coverage varies widely - from none, to a set number, to unlimited, based on medical need. Your carrier will give you the specifics.

A cost-share is your out-of-pocket responsibility (deductible, co-pay, or co-insurance).
If your plan allows for preventive nutrition counseling, many times there is no cost-share.

We bill your insurance directly first. Once your claim is processed and your carrier provides your Explanation of Benefits (EOB), we will charge the credit card on file for any amount listed as your responsibility.

Some plans require this, so it’s important to confirm before booking.

Some carriers treat these differently, so please clarify in advance.

Most insurance companies classify dietitians as specialists. Your card may list a specialist co-pay, but often, if we bill under preventive counseling, that co-pay does not apply. We typically wait until your claim is processed before charging any co-pay to your card on file.

Summary of questions to ask to verify your nutrition benefits:

  • Do I have coverage for nutrition counseling?

  • Do I need a referral to see a Registered Dietitian?

  • Are my diagnoses covered on my particular plan?

  • How many visits per calendar year do I receive?

  • Do I have a cost-share for these services?

  • Is there an associated cost for me if I choose to have the appointment as a telehealth visit versus an in-person visit?
